Creative Steel’s new CTS-V short throw shifter will fix all of those issues and much more! Our new shifter for the 09-15 CTS-V has been a long time in the making, but for good reason. We have spent many hours designing, machining, and testing to manufacture the very best shifter on the market for these vehicles. Our new shifter includes traits that are superior to others on the market.
09-15 Cadillac CTS-V Short Throw Shifter-
First, we wanted the shifter to look good so we used aircraft grade stainless steel and anodized billet aluminum. We also wanted to reduce the throw. We have about 30% reduction in throw over the OEM shifter. A major flaw in the OEM shifter was the sloppy shifter cup. Our shifter utilizes a new precision shifter cup. Weight of the shift knob/stick play a huge roll in how the shifter feels so we made the stick heavier than OEM using stainless steel. The shifter stick having more weight helps absorb some of the vibrations from the transmission. We added a vibration dampening section to our shifter to further improve the vibration dampening characteristics. Self-centering was another feature we wanted to incorporate so we utilized springs to ensure the shifter has better self centering. The pivot ball on our shifter is accompanied by delrin bushings to give you a silky smooth shifting experience. Lastly, you have two stick options to choose from. By selecting the OEM stick option, a customer can maintain a factory appearance by using their OEM shift knob. Whereas, selection of the 3/8-16 allows you to run an aftermarket knob.
