04-07 Cadillac CTS-V ELIMIVIBE® Engine Mounts
OEM Engine Mounts: Built for Comfort, Not Longevity
Engine mounts must balance four critical attributes: comfort, strength, longevity, and cost. Improving one almost always compromises another. OEM manufacturers prioritize comfort and low production cost, and that choice directly shapes how factory engine mounts perform over time.
For the Cadillac CTS-V, the factory uses fluid-filled engine mounts to minimize NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). These mounts rely on hydraulic fluid to absorb movement while rubber supports the engine—much like a vehicle’s suspension system. This design delivers a smooth, quiet ride when new, but it introduces a critical weakness.
As the rubber housing ages, heat and engine movement cause it to break down. Once the rubber fails, the internal fluid leaks out, and the mount immediately loses its damping ability. At that point, engine movement increases, vibrations transfer directly into the chassis, and drivetrain components experience added stress.
Because of this failure mode, most modern OEM engine mounts are considered maintenance items. They offer excellent comfort early in their life cycle but lack the strength and durability required for long-term ownership or performance-driven use.
Typical Aftermarket Engine Mounts: Strength at the Expense of Comfort
Aftermarket manufacturers often replace rubber with polyurethane to address the durability issues of OEM mounts. Polyurethane outperforms rubber in just about all properties making it an obvious upgrade from a materials standpoint.
However, most aftermarket companies focus exclusively on controlling engine movement, often overlooking ride quality altogether. Many polyurethane mounts use extremely rigid designs that transmit vibration directly into the cabin. While these mounts may last longer than OEM units, they frequently introduce harshness that makes daily driving uncomfortable.
Additionally, many aftermarket engine mounts rely on nearly identical designs, modified slightly for different vehicles. These designs often cost more than factory mounts because aftermarket manufacturers lack the production scale of OEM suppliers.
Installation costs further complicate the equation. Modern vehicles require significant labor to replace engine mounts, with some applications exceeding $2,000 in labor alone. Replacing inferior mounts multiple times quickly becomes more expensive than investing in a well-engineered, long-term solution.
The ELIMIVIBE® Engine Mount System: Engineering Without Compromise
Creative Steel engineered the ELIMIVIBE® Engine Mount System to eliminate the trade-offs that plague both OEM and aftermarket designs. Rather than improving a single attribute, ELIMIVIBE® delivers strength, longevity, comfort, and cost efficiency in one system—a breakthrough significant enough to earn a patent. We understand that the ELIMIVIBE® may initially cost more, but when you factor in labor rate of changing out engine mounts twice, the initial cost becomes minor.
To achieve this balance, Creative Steel redesigned how a polyurethane engine mount functions. Instead of locking the material into a rigid structure, the ELIMIVIBE® system uses a confined polyurethane cone design that is secured at both ends while still allowing controlled expansion.
This expansion zone allows the polyurethane to absorb vibration rather than transmit it. As a result, ELIMIVIBE® mounts actively control engine movement while maintaining a smooth, comfortable ride. The design resists fatigue, prevents material breakdown, and dramatically extends service life with only slight increase in NVH.
Creative Steel also engineered ELIMIVIBE® as a true engine mount system. All functional internal components remain the same across vehicle platforms, while only the vehicle-specific mounting hardware changes. This standardized approach allows higher production volumes of shared components, reducing manufacturing costs and passing the savings on to the customer.
Because ELIMIVIBE® mounts last significantly longer than OEM or conventional aftermarket options, they also reduce long-term ownership costs by eliminating repeated labor expenses.
Designed for the Cadillac CTS-V
The ELIMIVIBE® engine mount system provides a direct fit for the 04-07 Cadillac CTS-V, eliminating the need for any permanent modifications to the vehicle.
If you are tired of replacing factory fluid-filled engine mounts or need a durable, performance-capable upgrade that doesn’t compromise ride quality, the ELIMIVIBE® Engine Mount System for the Cadillac CTS-V delivers the solution.
Built for daily driving, aggressive use, and long-term reliability, ELIMIVIBE® actively controls engine movement while preserving comfort—something neither OEM nor typical aftermarket mounts can achieve.
