04-07 CTS-V Greasable Front Sway Bar Bushings
Our CTS-V sway bar bushings are a direct replacement for worn factory installed sway bar bushings. They are made of high quality polyurethane and are also a bit stiffer than the stock units. Unlike the factory, these bushings have grease ports cast into the polyurethane and are designed to be greased regularly. Additionally, you can perform this task while the bushings are on the car. This is to prevent noises when the vehicle runs across bumps in the road.
NOTE: To grease these bushings after installation, The factory bushing brackets must be drilled and tapped for a grease zerk.
If you hear knocking noises coming from the front suspension of your car when you hit bumps in the road, worn sway bar bushings are the likely cause. Worn sway bar bushings allow the sway bar to move and flex in ways that are unintended causing too much “body roll” when cornering. Our sway bar bushings force the sway bar to perform as intended. This makes the vehicle more rigid and stable during cornering without changing ride comfort.
