04-07 CTS-V Shifter Bushings
Poly shifter bushings-
Made of high quality polyurethane, these CTS-V shifter bushings replace the OEM rubber bushings on the shifter housing support rods. Made with a shoulder at one end and a slit for ease of installation.
Bronze/Stainless shifter bushings-
This 3 piece kit completely replaces the OEM plastic bushings, bolt sleeve, and O-rings on the bottom of the OEM Shifter.
The bushings are machined out of durable Bearing Bronze on a CNC precision lathe giving the perfect fit every time. The new metal bolt sleeve is cut out of 316 Stainless Steel to provide the best corrosion resistance.

Whatever you do, do NOT get JUST the poly bushing as they suck by themselves.
Get the best package; it was not available when I bought mine.

Very happy with the results. The stock rubber bushings are actually hollow! No wonder they failed so badly. The allen wrench bolts are a 3/16″ to remove the shifter. My metric set would not cut it. The bottom allen bolt was actually stripped some how so I had to use a dremel from underneath the car to remove it. I also has to shave off a little bit from each o-ring for this to fit in the fork. I struggle for an hour before I decided that I needed to shave some of the o-ring off from each side. With my head towards the front of the car and practically directly below the bell housing, I found it very easy to get my hands up and around the transmission to attach the bottom bolt. I end up replacing the bottom nut with a stainless steel 5/16″ x 2″ bolt that had a nice long should to it. The stock bolt is all threads and no shoulder. Don’t for yet to rinse out all the crud around the shifter ball with the penetrating oil and then lube it up with white lithium grease. I can see myself lubricating the shifter ball joint every 2 years or so which should be a quick and simple process going forward
This is the best bang for the buck for improving my daily driving experience. I don’t notice any extra noise or vibrations.

added just the poly bushings when i put my hurst shifter in. if your going to bother opening anything up for the shifter you might as well replace them. after you get them on spray them with some lithium grease and it will make sliding the bracket back much less difficult.

I added these poly bushings after installing a Hurst shifter.
Take it from me, install these bushings when you do an aftermarket shifter-It’ll save you so much hassle tearing into the console another time.
Bushings are surprisingly easy to install.
What an improvement in shift feel!
I can’t say I experienced any added vibration or noise whatsoever after installing them.

As others have said GET BOTH. Pointless to only replace one. With 160k on them I literally was pulling my bushings out when removing the trans. Great products. When combined with the shifter linkage connector it makes it a more secure feel.

It’s a band aid… That’s essentially what you are buying. This WILL NOT give you a like new shifter or even close. I have 148k on my V and installed the full $75 dollar versin of this kit from creative steel. Shifting still feels like trying to hit a drift with the round end of ball peen hammer while the beginnings of Parkinsons disease sets in. Seriously my 200k mile Celica had better shifting and that is a cable driven unit. What it DID improve was give me a positive engagement feel that was absent before. I can easily tell when it falls into a gear as opposed to before where I had to guess whether I was just past the synchronizers or was actually meshing gear teeth. 2 stars because it is overadvertised and overpriced. If you want a better shifter. Go buy their full shifter unit and put a clutch in your car while the trans is out. Which is probably what I will do when mine gives out. The Allen socket head bolt for the linkage on the bottom is 5mm. Not 3/16 like the other review said.

Works perfectly. Fit was spot on and shifter slop is completely gone. Installed this while putting in an LS7 clutch kit, perfect timing while the tranny was out. New clutch aside, without the shifter slop it feels like a new car.

Great service help by phone and email. Bushings worked great. I recommend.

Put the shifter bushings in my 06 CTS-V this week. I had a question and called for an answer forgetting that CS was 3 time zones to the west. I was impressed that I got a prompt call back. The bushings have removed the vagueness. I wish I would have gotten the whole kit with the short throw shifter. Maybe later.
