Belt Wrap Kit for 06 CLS55 AMG
The factory M113K engine design has very little of the supercharger belt contact the supercharger pully. The M113K engines supercharger pulley is known to slip on the belt under heavy acceleration thus creating less boost pressure. When you lose boost pressure to your engine, consequently your AMG is not as fast or responsive. In addition to boost pressure loss, belt slip will prematurely wear the belt causing it to fail.
Creative Steel’s belt wrap kit (BWK) is designed to maximize boost pressure by creating more contact surface with the supercharger pulley. This is achieved by adding an additional pulley that forces the belt to wrap around the supercharger pulley. This kit allows the engine to maintain proper boost pressure and in turn you get all of the power your M113K has to offer. Contrary to common belief, a belt wrap kit does not add any additional strain on your pulleys or your engine. Since the tensioner is not being replaced, you have the same tension on the belt as you did before the belt wrap kit. Nonetheless, our belt wrap kit will greatly improve your throttle response while also limiting wear on the supercharger belt.
